LHEF Fundraising

Please make a donation to the La Honda Educational Foundation!

A donation to LHEF can be made through PayPal. Please note that PayPal keeps a small percentage (2 - 3%) of the donation as a transaction fee.

LHEF is committed to raising $60,000 to support our small school district in a time of financial crisis and low enrollment. We are also sponsoring the music program at La Honda Elementary and other enrichment programs such as Adopt-A-Watershed.

Our events include the Winter Wine and Food Pairing and the Garden Tour in May, both joint fundraisers with Pescadero Education Foundation. Our yearly Aloha in the Redwoods fall event is always popular and very successful, and not to be missed is our "fun" raiser Lip Sync Competition during the school year.

These events provide a huge boost to our fundraising efforts, but to succeed in our goals the foundation relies on contributions from parents and community members.

As LHEF is a 501(c)3 organization, all donations to LHEF are tax deductible. If you donate $500 or more you will receive an invitation to our end of the year thank you event. (The speaker at the June '05 event was Jack O'Connell, the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction and the speaker at the June '04 event was Reed Hastings, president of the California State Board of Education and CEO of Netflix, Inc.) If you donate $250 or more, then we will inscribe a brick in the school patio with your name or message.
